Fish It Roblox: Best Rods, Rare Fish, and How to Play

Cast your line, click as fast as you can, and hope you hook a Secret fish. That is Fish It, a Roblox fishing game made by Fish Atelier that appears in the Indonesian version of Roblox under the name Tangkap Ikan!. The developer mentions the game is inspired by Fisch and Fishing Simulator, but the gameplay style is lighter and faster.

Since its release on October 21, 2024, Fish It has been visited over 4.7 billion times and favorited by over 1.2 million players. The game is still regularly updated, most recently on October 11, 2026, via the Esoteric Expansion which added 1 new Secret and 12 fish. How to Play Fish It for Beginners

The fishing mechanics are simple. Hold click to charge your cast, then when a fish bites, click as fast as possible to reel it in. The higher your rod's luck and reel speed, the better your chances of getting rare fish.

Caught fish are sold for Coins, which are then used to buy rods, bait, and unlock new islands. Every fish has a rarity tier ranging from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, to Secret. Above Secret is the Forgotten tier, which is much rarer. One server can hold up to 20 players.

List of Fish It Rods from Beginner to Endgame

Rods are the most important upgrade in Fish It. According to the community wiki (August 5, 2026 update), here are the rods that can be bought with Coins along with their luck bonuses:

• Early: Starter Rod (free), Luck Rod (250 Coins), Carbon (900), Grass (1,500), Damascus (3,000), Ice (5,000), and Lucky Rod (10,000, 130 percent luck).
• Mid: Midnight (50,000), Steampunk (215,000, 175 percent luck), Chrome (437,000, 229 percent luck), Fluorescent (715,000, 300 percent luck), and Astral (1,000,000, 380 percent luck).
• Late: Hazmat (1,380,000, from Traveling Merchant), Ares (3,000,000, at Tropical Grove), Angler (8,000,000, at Lost Isle), and Bamboo (12,000,000, 760 percent luck, at Ancient Jungle).

There are also free rods that are often missed. The Toy Rod is obtained by joining the group and liking the game, while the Lava Rod is obtained from an NPC at Kohana Volcano.

Rod Quest: Ghostfinn to Withering

The strongest rods are not for sale, but are obtained through quest chains:

1. Ghostfinn (610 percent luck): from the Deep Sea Quest. Requirements include catching 300 Rare or Epic fish in the Treasure Room, 3 Mythic and 1 Secret at the Sisyphus Statue, and collecting 1 million Coins.
2. Element (1,111 percent luck): requires Ghostfinn and 3 Transcended Stone.
3. Diamond (1,300 percent luck): requires Element.
4. Withering (Forgotten tier, luck above 1,463 percent): requires Diamond.

A safe upgrade path for beginners: Luck Rod or Lava Rod, then Lucky Rod, Steampunk or Chrome, Astral, Angler, then start the Ghostfinn quest. Don't waste Coins on mid-tier rods that only offer slightly higher bonuses than the ones you already have.

Rare and Most Valuable Fish in Fish It

Fish with the highest sell value almost always come from the Secret and Forgotten tiers. According to the Pro Game Guides (December 2025), some of the hardest Secrets to get include the Robot Kraken with a chance of about 1 in 3.5 million at the Sisyphus Statue, the Orca at about 1 in 1.5 million, and the Great Whale at about 1 in 900 thousand.

The sell value of each fish is influenced by weight and mutations, so two fish with the same name can be valued very differently. Prices also change frequently with updates, so check the in-game sell value before deciding to sell or keep a rare catch. Secret fish are also useful as ingredients for Transcended Stone for additional enchants.

Bait and Enchants to Increase Luck

After rods, bait and enchants are the most effective ways to increase your chances of getting rare fish:

• Dark Matter Bait (630,000 Coins): 160 percent luck bonus.
• Aether Bait (3,700,000 Coins): 240 percent luck bonus, plus 20 percent mutation chance and 20 percent shiny chance.
• Enchant Stone: rolled at the Esoteric Depths altar. The most sought-after luck enchants are Leprechaun II (50 percent luck) and Empowered I (20 percent luck and 10 percent reel speed).
• Transcended Stone: crafted by sacrificing Secret fish and unlocking a second enchant slot.

Islands in Fish It

You start at Fisherman Island, then you can explore Kohana and Kohana Volcano, Esoteric Depths, Coral Reefs, Tropical Grove, Crater Island, Lost Isle (requires Diving Gear), Ancient Jungle, and other islands added via updates. The newest island is Arcadia, a limited island released alongside the 8-Bit mutation.
