The Forge Roblox: How to Play and Best Ores for Beginners

The Forge Roblox

Mine ore, smelt it in a furnace, then forge it into a weapon that might be one-of-a-kind compared to other players. That is The Forge, a Roblox RPG made by The Forge Community group that combines mining, forging, and fighting into one cycle. In the Indonesian version of Roblox, the title is translated to Penempaan, but players still call it The Forge.

Since its release on May 10, 2025, The Forge has been visited over 1 billion times and favorited by more than 1 million players, with about a 94 percent like rating. This game is still in beta, and its last update was recorded on October 10, 2026. This guide covers how to play from the first island, the best ore list, proper forging methods, and the gamepass items for sale.

How to Play The Forge

The basic cycle consists of four parts, all of which are mentioned directly in the official game description:

  1. Mining. Hit rocks with a pickaxe to get ore.
  2. Forging. Smelt a combination of ores in the forge to create weapons or armor. According to the developer, there are over 1,000 item variations, and every ore combination provides different designs and traits.
  3. Fighting. Defeat enemies to level up and get drops.
  4. Runes and new islands. Collect Runes to strengthen items, then unlock the next island.

The main currency is Gold. You can sell raw ore, but according to community guides, selling forged gear yields much more Gold. Servers hold a maximum of 12 players.

Official PC controls:

  • Q to dash, Shift to sprint, and Ctrl for shift-lock.
  • R or right-click (while shift-lock) for heavy attack, and F to block.
  • T to open the menu.

Islands in The Forge

Progression in The Forge moves from one island to the next. According to patch notes summarized by Pro Game Guides, the order is:

  1. Stonewake's Cross: the starting island to learn mining and forging.
  2. Forgotten Kingdom: includes the Goblin Cave area.
  3. Frostspire Expanse: includes The Peak and Raven Cave.
  4. Crimson Sakura: released February 22, 2026, along with the max level increase to 250.

Every island has stronger ore, so don't rush to move before your pickaxe is good enough to mine it.

The Forge Ore List from Beginner to Endgame

Ore has rarity levels from Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, Relic, Exotic, to Divine. What determines weapon quality most is the multiplier of each ore. The numbers below are from Pro Game Guides and use values adjusted after the February 22, 2026 update.

  • Stonewake's Cross: Stone (0.2x), Copper (0.3x), Iron (0.35x), Tin (0.425x), Silver (0.5x), Gold (0.65x), Mushroomite and Platinum (0.8x), Bananite (0.85x), Aite (1.1x), and Poopite (1.2x).
  • Forgotten Kingdom: Cobalt (1x), Titanium (1.15x), Diamond (2x), Eye Ore (4x), Fireite (4.5x), Magmaite (5x), Demonite (5.5x), and Darkryte (6.3x).
  • Endgame: Galaxite (Divine, 11.5x, about 1 in 1 million chance in Goblin Cave), Stolen Heart (12.5x), Heart of the Island (13x), Heavenite (13.7x), and Gargantuan (15x).

In the February update, ores on islands 3 and 4 received lower multipliers but much higher drop rates. For example, Tungsten went from 2.6x with a 1/180 chance to 1.95x with a 1/30 chance. So if you find an old ore list with different numbers, that data was likely created before that update.

Best Ore for Beginners

On the first island, target Aite (1.1x, about 1/44 chance) and Poopite (1.2x, about 1/131 chance). Both are Epic and sufficient to craft decent starter weapons. Cheap ores like Stone and Copper are better sold or used for forging practice.

After entering the Forgotten Kingdom, the biggest jump is at Diamond (2x) then Eye Ore (4x). Ores like Magmaite, Demonite, and Darkryte become the main materials for midgame weapons before you are ready to hunt for Galaxite.

Don't forget to upgrade your pickaxe, because stronger ore requires a better pickaxe. The order commonly used by players: Iron, Cobalt, Platinum, Titanium, Mythril, Arcane, Aqua, then Frost.

How to Forge for Maximum Results

Many new players waste good ore because of bad recipes. Some rules from the Pro Game Guides crafting guide:

  • Multipliers are averaged, not added. Mixing one good ore with many cheap ores actually lowers the final result.
  • Use 3 to 4 types of ore. This is enough to get traits without ruining the average multiplier.
  • Traits need a minimum 10 percent portion. An ore's trait only activates if that ore makes up at least 10 percent of the total mixture.
  • Ore quantity determines weapon type. Daggers only need 3 ores, Katanas are optimal at 12 ores, and Colossal Swords are optimal at 50 ores.
  • Minigames determine quality. Bellows, casting, and hammering affect the final quality, from Broken to Masterwork.

Race and The Forge Codes

Every player has a race that provides different bonuses, such as the Goblin which gets shop discounts. According to community guides, races can be rerolled at the Wizard NPC and additional race slots open at levels 30 and 100. Demon is often recommended for PvE, while Angel or Dwarf are for mining.

The Forge codes usually provide race rerolls. As of September 25, 2026, PC Gamer notes there are no active codes, and the last code like RAIDUPDSOON has expired. To use a new code, open the Settings icon in the top left, scroll down, paste the code, then press Claim. A general guide for entering codes is in the article how to redeem Roblox codes.
